Donald J. DeGabrielle, former U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Texas, has joined Bracewell & Giuliani in Houston as a partner in its white-collar defense, internal investigations and regulatory enforcement practice. Ben James, Darren Spalding and Martin Stewart-Smith join the firm's London office as partners, while Olivia Caddy joins as senior counsel.

Vincent A. Marin has joined Sidley Austin in Chicago as chief information officer. Marin was formerly CIO at Huron Consulting Group.

Ugo Colella has joined Thompson Hine's Washington, D.C., office as a partner in the firm's business litigation group.

Morrison & Foerster has hired Robert Fleishman in its Washington, D.C., office, where he will be a senior of counsel. Fleishman is a former general counsel for Constellation Energy Group and also worked in the enforcement division of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The firm also hired Stephen D. Cox in its New York office to be of counsel.

Kilpatrick Townsend added C. Gregory Lazerus to its San Francisco office, where he will be an associate in the firm's corporate, finance and real estate department. The firm also hired Stefanie Lampf as an associate in the New York office's real estate finance and capital markets team.

Greg D. Andres, Meyer C. Dworkin and Paul S. Mishkin have been elected partners of Davis Polk and Wardwell.

Holland & Knight has opened its 18th office, in Dallas.

Marc T. Morley has joined Foley & Lardner in its intellectual property department and chemical, biotechnology and pharmaceutical practice. He will be a partner in the firm's San Diego/Del Mar, Calif., office.

Gibson Dunn's Brussels office has hired Dr. Jens-Olrik Murach and Lena Sandberg. Murach joins as a partner while Sandberg will be of counsel.

Akerman Senterfitt expands its litigation practice group with the hiring of shareholder David Bayne, of counsel Jim Maloney and associate Steven Cordero.

Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy has hired John Williams as a new financial institutions partner.

K&L Gates adds David C. Lindsay as a partner in its Raleigh, N.C. office. Lindsay will work in the firm's labor, employment and workplace safety practice. The firm also hired Kevin A. Christmas as a partner in the firm's Charlotte, N.C., office, where he will work in its corporate/M&A practice.

McCarter & English has hired David L. Woronov as a partner in the firm's corporate, securities and financial institutions practice in Boston.

Rosetta B. Packer has joined Ballard Spahr as a partner in its Philadelphia office. She will work in the firm's business and finance department.

David Mayer, former senior adviser for compliance and enforcement at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office for Civil Rights, has joined Drinker Biddle as a senior adviser in the firm's health care practice group based in Chicago.

Boyd Collar Nolen & Tuggle has hired Amy B. Saul as an associate in Atlanta.

DLA Piper hired Krista Donahue Drobac as a policy adviser in its government affairs practice and health care public policy and regulatory group in Washington. Drobac is a former Senate staffer and Obama administration official.

Dickinson Wright has hired Timothy L. Andersson as a member in its Troy, Mich., office.

Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale has hired litigation attorney David B. Goodman as an officer in its Chicago office.

Perkins Coie's San Francisco office has hired Allan E. Low as a partner in its real estate practice group.

Douglas Bria has joined Littler Mendelson as a shareholder in its San Francisco office. The firm also hired JoAnna Brooks.

Michele J. Alexander joins Lowenstein Sandler as a partner in its business tax counseling and structuring practice.
