Cooley hired Walter Hanchuck and John Kheit to work in its New York City office. The two previously worked at Chadbourne & Parke.

Barnes & Thornburg hired David Ritter to work in its labor and employment law department in Chicago.

Kilpatrick Townsend hired Eben Allen to work for its intellectual property team in Seattle. The firm also hired Matthew Meyer in Silicon Valley, Stephen Reiter in San Diego

Burr & Forman hired Brendi Kaplan, Thallen Brassel, and Nina Kumar to work in its Nashville, Tenn. Office.

SNR Denton, Salans, and Fraser Milner Casgrain announced that they are considering merging into one firm with more than 2,500 lawyers and 79 offices in 52 countries. The new firm will be called Dentons and will be led by Elliott Portnoy, current head of SNR Denton. The move will be voted on at the end of the month.

Perkins Coie hired Arthur Haubenstock to work in its environment, energy, and resources practice. He will work out of the San Francisco and Washington, D.C. offices.
