The world's first Video Game Bar Association was formed this week, according to Reed Smith. Attorneys interested in joining the global organization must have two years of substantial responsibility in a games industry under their belt, as well as an admittance to practice law in any jurisdiction and two recommendations from association members from other firms. One recommendation from a board member is also permissible for induction to the V.G.B.A.

In another new venture, Patton Boggs has added an Infrastructure & Private Capital practice to its offerings. To staff the practice, the firm has welcomed seven new professionals: new partners and group leaders Richard Ornitz and Jay Tannon; Patricia Kovacevic and Thomas Reems, partners; Mathew Garver, senior advisor; John Arrington, project manager; and Vicki Cram, policy advisor. The practice group will operate from both the firm's New York and Washington offices and aims to assist in construction of projects as varied as roads and bridges to transmission lines, power plants, hospitals, and courthouses.

After more than 16 years with the U.S. Department of Justice, Benton J. Campbell has joined Latham & Watkins as a partner in New York. Campbell, who was interim United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York from 2007 to 2010, is in the firm's Litigation Department.

Thomas Glassic has rejoined Dewey & LeBoeuf after serving on Capitol Hill as the Senior Counsel for the Committee on Financial Services of the U.S. House of Representatives. Glassic, whose insurance prowess has included experience as primary counsel on the Dodd-Frank Act for insurance issues and as an advisor to Rep. Barney Frank on other insurance-related legislation, is now of counsel in Dewey & LeBoeuf's Insurance Regulatory Department in Washington, D.C.

In Howrey news, renowned intellectual property attorney Mark Whitaker has left the firm for Baker Botts. Whitaker, the Vice Chair Division I of the ABA Section of Intellectual Property Law, is now a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Baker Botts.
